Poetry in soutside Hampton Roads

Today I attended the reception for the publication of Skipping Stones, a new anthology of poetry by poets from the Hampton Roads area. What a great time; there must have been nearly 60 folks crowded into one of the meeting rooms at the Chesapeake Library on Taylor Road. Poets whose work was included in Skipping Stones got a chance to read their work. Heard some great poems. I'm hoping that some of the poets present will submit choice poems to Poetry 360.

A huge hand ought to go to Pete Freas who has nearly single-handidly brought about this public interest in poetry with a poetry group in Chesapeake & Portsmouth.
