Sometimes the best ideas come from plain spoken folk

Perhaps you've been following the new Maersk terminal here in Portsmouth. Due to open in three years, it's going to help push the Port of Hampton Roads to new heights. Of course, it's also going to increase truck and train traffic through our fair city. One Portsmouth citizen thinks he has a better notion for traffic patterns and has been lobbying heavily. His ideas appear sound -- certainly more sound than trucks idling at red lights along West Norfolk Road.

Now if we could just get the bureaucrats over at VDOT to listen up.
