Only in America

This little story reads like something that might have happened in some banana republic or behind the iron curtain... but, no, it happened in the great State of Florida. A journalist was attacked by a sheriff's deputy because the journalist was attempting to take pictures of people standing in line to vote.

News on the electoral front: the Washington Redskins lost on Sunday to the Green Bay Packers. Oh, you wonder how football results are electoral news. Read on.
If history holds, the 28-14 result portends a victory for Kerry on Tuesday because the result of the Redskins' final home game before the presidential election has always accurately predicted the White House winner. If the Redskins win, the incumbent party wins. If they lose, the incumbent party is ousted.
Latest poll results say the results are going to be close. Real close.
