Somebody's not happy

Seems my inattention to detail has pissed off a senior officer.

LT Stinson ,

Request the following information:

Reservists assigned to your AOR:
1. How many have not received their ODUs?
2. How many did not perform ADT in FY04?

These questions were asked of all SROs in October 04, you have not reported back to me.

LT Stinson, my understanding through EE, is that you sent him an email on 17 December 04 informing him that you would obtain that information the next weekend for your scheduled drill.

If there are extenuating circumstances, call or page me ASAP, as I want to discus those via phone versus email.

Have you been receiving information I send out to all SROs on weekly and monthly basis?

All the best,
CAPT Night

I do it so well, don't I? I seem to bring out the best in people! A colleague dropped me a line yesterday afternoon which said, in part,
D5 says they've had difficulty with your participation. Said you've been hard to reach/little involved since Sept.

They asked us to look into transferring you. We wanted to get your take on things before we get to involved in this.
I guess between not getting back to the Captain (to provide him info which he can pull of the central computers) and not submitting my drill & duty info for payment & credit, I'm difficult. Serving as Command Duty Officer & Acting Deputy Commander & all the other stuff is just bull, I guess.

Ah, so be it. Come August there will be no Coast Guard Group Hampton Roads, and I'll not be the senior reservist. We'll have Coast Guard Sector Hampton Roads, having merged the Group and the Marine Safety Office, and it'll be someone else's concern. Guess Captain Night is gonna see my transfer sooner or later... ;-)

In the mean time, guess it's time to answer his questions. I'm more worried about my real boss getting reamed for my inattention to follow-through. Afterall, I actually want my boss to succeed.
