Kids skipped school and grown-ups missed work. Confetti flew and players blew kisses to the crowd.After the parade, fans streamed through the North End right around the time we were returning from lunch at La Famiglia Giorgio's. They were decked out in Pat's gear; they wore wide smiles; they hung out of cars and called to their friends, loud voices cutting over the routine sounds of the city.
The New England Patriots took another victory ride through town -- their third in four years -- to give their sign-waving, slogan-chanting supporters a chance to share in Sunday's 24-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Jacksonville, Fla. Boston Police estimated the crowd at just under 1 million fans.
