Some people ought to keep their traps closed

I'm a staunch supporter of free speech, but some people ought to just shut up. As I've noted before, Pat Robertson ought to just keep quiet.
Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson suggested Thursday that God afflicted Ariel Sharon with a stroke this week in response to the Israeli prime minister’s transfer of land to Palestinians.

"God has enmity against those who 'divide my land,'" Robertson said during "The 700 Club" television show produced by the Christian Broadcasting Network in Virginia Beach.

Sharon, who initiated the return of Gaza to Palestinians, "was dividing God’s land, and I would say woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course," Robertson said.
So, if I understand this correctly, Robertson believes that anyone who attempts to create peace in the Mid-East -- and helps create a place for the Palestinians to live there -- is not doing God's will? And that God would strike down such a person?

If we were in a private venue, I might suggest that Robertson is quite an ass; however, since we're here in the public blogosphere, I'll merely say, "Not the God I know."
