In the mergers and acquisitions news:
Blackboard, the District online-learning company, said its proposed acquisition of rival firm WebCT received clearance from the Department of Justice.

Together, the two companies control about 80 percent of the higher-education market for online-learning systems. The deal is expected to close in March or April.
Ouch. And DOJ didn't have a problem with that?

Next thing we know, Google or Microsoft or Yahoo will purchase Blackboard.
