I think the man was able to foresee the future... When Harry S. Truman was a senator, he called for a special Senate committee on war contracts; that committee became known as the Truman Committee. He said, "I have never yet found a contractor who, if not watched, would not leave the government holding the bag."
Created on March 1st, 1941, the committee became "one of the most productive investigating committees in its entire history."
Perhaps we need a Truman Committee now.
