Iran to release Brits

Pajamas Media is reporting that the detained British troops will be released.
During his press conference taking place right now, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has just announced that he has “pardoned” the British marines and sailors and that they will be released as a “gift” to Britain. (Sky News live broadcast, no link)

LATER: “Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said his country will free the 15 captured UK sailors and marines as a “gift” to Britain. He said they would be released after a news conference currently being held in the capital Tehran. President Ahmadinejad made the pledge after awarding medals to the “brave” border guards who detained the Britons.” (Sky News)
I'm sure other media outlest are reporting the same thing.

Good timing. They'll get out just before Operation Bite lets loose and pummels the Iranian military back a couple of decades. ;-)
