This is just priceless

Remember the young man and woman who fell from the cruise ship recently? The guy who was rescued by the Coast Guard? He was a cadet at the Air Force Academy!

From Fox Denver (KDVR):
An Air Force Academy cadet who fell off of a cruise ship along with a female passenger is thanking his rescuers. But he's not sharing any details about what happened to cause them to fall overboard.

Ernesto Guzman, 22, and a 20-year-old woman fell about 50 feet into the Gulf of Mexico on March 25th, from the balcony of the woman's cabin on the Grand Princess.

Boats launched from the ship rescued both people, but Guzman spent about five hours in the water before being pulled onto a boat.

He issued a statement through the Air Force Academy that thanked Princess Cruises and the Coast Guard for assisting in his rescue.
Oh, I'd hate to be in his shoes back in Colorado Springs. I can only imagine the grief he'll receive from his peers.
